Magdalena Arias Vásquez is a bilingual writer and translator. Her English-language poems have been published in AGNI, Poetry Northwest, among others. Her Spanish-language poetry is forthcoming in FILNYC's Antología V. She was a PEN America Emerging Voices Fellow, and has received recognition and support for her work from organizations such as Brooklyn Poets and AWP. 

As a Spanish to English and English to Spanish translator, she has translated poetry and other literary texts featured in notable publications such as Revista Anfibia in Argentina, among others. She is a graduate of Under the Volcano Master Writing Residence in Tepoztlán, Mexico, and of Williams College, where she earned a BA in English and French Literature with Honors.

Born and raised in Panama City, Panama, she currently lives between the isthmus and New York.
